Transit Visa

The visas are for persons traveling in immediate and continuous transit through another country till you reach your destination.

This transit visa is a travel document allowing you to pass through another country until you reach your destination. Take for, if you are traveling from Nigeria to the Canada, but you need to stop in the Schengen Zone to continue your flight for Canada, you require a transit visa for the Schengen Area.

This visas are usually short-term and not everyone one requires one. it is important to contact an embassy before you travel to confirm if you would need a transit visa or not.

Document Checklist For Transit Visa

You'll need the following document for transit visa application:
  • 1: Airport transit visa application form.
  • 2: Your passport with at least six-month validity
  • 3: You'll need Passport identity pictures.
  • 4: You need to have a Travel health insurance.
  • 5: Flight ticket to your destination country.
  • 6: A valid visa for your destination country (if required)
  • 7: A proof of financial evidence that you can support yourself during the trip.

Transit Visa Exemption

  • You hold a valid diplomatic passport.
  • You already have a valid visa for the country in which you will transit.
  • You won’t be leaving the transit zone (for nationals of specific countries).
  • Your transition period will be less than 24 hours (not in all countries).
  • Your country has a bilateral agreement with your transit country.
  • 7: A proof of financial evidence that you can support yourself during the trip.
